Associate Professor Christina Dillahunt-Aspillaga Selected to Serve on Department of Veterans' Affairs Advisory Committee on Rehabilitation

Associate Professor Christina Dillahunt-Aspillaga has been selected to serve as a member of the Department of Veterans’ Advisory Committee on Rehabilitation (VACOR) through the end of May 2024. She is a faculty member in the Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling Program in the Department of Child and Family Studies, which focuses on the rehabilitation and community reintegration of civilians, service members, and veterans with traumatic brain injury (TBI). 

VACOR is authorized under United States Code title 38 § 3121 to provide advice and guidance in the area of vocational rehabilitation issues and to develop recommendations for VA’s consideration to the Secretary. The Committee submits to the Secretary an annual report on the rehabilitation programs and activities of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) along with other reports and recommendations to the Secretary as the Committee determines appropriate. The annual report  includes an assessment of the rehabilitation needs of Veterans and a review of VA programs and activities designed to meet such needs.The Committee reports to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs.
