Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC) Coordinating Center

Activities and Events

Research

We are currently compiling data regarding addiction science academic programs in the United States and Canada. Working to determine what academic institutions in North America host addiction studies including what degrees are offered and in what colleges.

Evaluation

With input from Master Trainers of the UTC around the world, and other esteemed experts,  we are creating materials to systematically follow up with Universal Treatment Curriculum training participants.  Evaluation data will help determine the breadth of effect the training is having, what areas could be improved, and preferences of participants.

Networking

The International Consortium of Universities on Drug Demand Reduction (ICUDDR) is a group committed to bringing together universities from countries around the world who work in the addiction studies field.  See link to the left for more information about ICUDDR.

Dissemination

The Coordinating Center is working to education Universities on the UTC and to offer interested academic institutions the curriculum as well as a number of other resources and opportunities to strengthen their programs.  Interested in becoming an Education Provider?  See the link to the left.

Mentorship

The Center is working on creating a framework for mentorship activities. These activities would assist those who are participating in the UTC Basic level training to integrate the skills into their practice and to problem solve issues that arise.
