Kayla Coogle, a student in the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) online master’s program,
received a fellowship offered through BCOTB in Tampa. The fellowship provides a two-semester
stipend for a student who can work 20 hours per week at BCOTB as their practicum placement,
and then is willing to work at BCOTB after graduating from USF.
BCOTB has been one of Tampa’s leading providers of ABA therapy services for sixteen
years. With the goal of improving the lives of children with autism by providing tools
to bring about meaningful and positive changes in behavior, BCOTB therapy is designed
to assess and treat both problem behavior and pre-academic and social skill deficits
in an ongoing evaluation of each child’s individual needs.
ABA Program Director Dr. Ray Miltenberger and ABA online MA program coordinator Dr.
Anthony Concepcion, along with BCOTB president Kelley Prince (USF '05), presented
Kayla the fellowship funds to be used toward completing her degree. Kayla’s plans
upon graduation are to continue working in a clinical setting focused on younger children
with autism.
