Social work professor joins Salud Latina USF conversation on COVID-19

Dr. Jerome Galea participates in Salud Latina USF

Jerome Galea, PhD, MSW, RCSWI, spoke with the College of Public Health's (COPH) Drs. Miguel Reina Ortiz and Abraham A. Salinas-Miranda about how the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the mental health of Spanish-speaking individuals in the U.S. and globally. The talk was part of a series of conversations hosted by COPH as part of its Salud Latina USF initiative. Dr. Galea and the other panelists discussed the ways in which the pandemic has affected the disparities experienced by Latinos surrounding mental health, stigma, and the connection between physical and mental health.
