Admission Requirements

To be eligible to take part in the Early Childhood M.Ed. program, a student must meet the general requirements of the graduate school of the University of South Florida and submit the following with their application:

  • Official transcripts with a BA/BS degree in early childhood education or a related field (such as elementary education, child and family studies, or child development) with an upper division GPA of 3.0.
    OR
  • Official transcripts with a BA/BS degree with an upper division GPA of 3.0 and experience in the field of Early Childhood Education
  • Current Vita/Resume
  • Statement of Purpose (statement of academic and professional history and goals)
  • Two letters of recommendation (professional/academic reference letters) and contact information from individuals who can attest to your academic accomplishments.

*International students needing the TOEFL are encouraged to apply to the INTO USF program.
