The Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Social Science Education is intended for experienced social studies educators seeking advanced preparation for positions in instructional leadership, supervision, and curriculum development.

This concentration is designed for educators who have at least two years of relevant experience in the field, typically, teachers certified in social science education with a bachelor's degree from a College of Education. The aim is to provide advanced preparation in the theories and practices of social studies educators.

This concentration does not include teaching certification. Individuals interested in certification should visit the Master of Arts in Teaching in Social Science Education.
