Master of Arts in Teaching

Offered on USF's Tampa campus

The Master of Arts in Teaching in Social Science Education is designed for students who hold an appropriate bachelor’s degree in a field other than education. The program leads to both a master’s degree and recommendation for initial grades 6-12 social studies teacher certification in the state of Florida.

Applicants are expected to have significant undergraduate work in at least one (preferably more) social studies teaching field (e.g., history, civics or government, geography, economics).
