Welcome President Law

On March 22 the USF Board of Trustees named Interim President Rhea Law as President Elect for the University of South Florida. President Law will become the university’s eighth president pending confirmation by the BOG at the end of the March. More information about President Law and the process is available here.

The Faculty Senate welcomed President Law to the permanent position at the March 23 meeting and looks forward to continuing the partnership established since she stepped into the interim role.

Update as of March 30: The BOG confirmed President Law's appointment. 

Research Building

On March 31st USF will cut the ribbon for the newly completed USF Research Park facility. The 120,000-square-foot, three story building will house labs, office space, an open-air terrace, collaborative areas, and conference space for people to come together and generate new ideas.

Viewpoint Diversity Survey

The BOG has notified universities that the intellectual and viewpoint diversity survey will be administered on April 4. There will be a 4-day response window and it will be important for a significant and representative response rate.

Bargaining

On Friday, March 25 the USF-UFF and USF administration met for a bargaining session from 1pm-4pm. You can watch the recording on the UFF You Tube channel or visit the UFF Bargaining page to review the proposals that UFF placed on the table.
