Scholarships Are Open: Apply Now

Incoming and continuing students can now apply for all USF scholarships through our portal, AwardSpring. Apply early for the best chance at receiving funding for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Deadlines to apply to scholarships through AwardSpring vary. Find deadlines for specific scholarships within the AwardSpring portal.

Please note:
You must activate your USF NetID and email in order to login to the scholarship application and begin applying for scholarships. USF Health Students (Medicine, Pharmacy, Physician’s Assistant, and Physical Therapy) will not be able to log into the system. Please contact your department for more information regarding how to apply for USF scholarships.

Scholarship Application Tips

Check the AwardSpring Portal Often

After you submit your initial application, we encourage you to check the AwardSpring portal periodically to see if any additional scholarships become available to you. 

Complete the FAFSA

Some scholarships consider financial need and will require that you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which is available now for the 2026-2027 award year.  


Types of Scholarships

USF Foundation Scholarships

University Foundation Scholarships are special funds to help students pay for college and reach their goals. These scholarships are privately funded awards made possible through the generosity of USF donors and supporters. They are available to students across all three USF campuses and may vary based on academic level, college affiliation, or area of study.

Florida Bright Futures Scholarship

The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship is a state-funded program that helps eligible Florida high school graduates pay for college. Awards are based on academic achievement and service or work hours. Students who qualify can receive significant tuition coverage at participating Florida colleges and universities.

  • Disbursement Timeline: Florida Bright Futures Scholarship disbursement typically occurs during the second week of classes each semester.

Scholarship Resources

  • Reporting Financial Assistance: Federal regulations prohibit you from receiving more financial aid than your cost of attendance. Aid received from other financial assistance will affect your aid eligibility. If you are receiving other aid, please report it to Student Self-Service.
