The USF-Microsoft Student Ambassador Program

The USF–Microsoft Ambassador Program is a collaborative initiative between USF Information Technology and Microsoft designed to drive positive business outcomes through technology enablement. The program prepares a cohort of student ambassadors to serve as change agents, helping USF departments adopt and effectively use Microsoft technologies to improve efficiency, productivity, and collaboration.

Ambassadors receive specialized training in Microsoft tools and Copilot generative AI and work directly with campus partners to support technology implementation and innovation. Ambassadors are trained to assess departmental needs, assist with tool adoption, provide ongoing guidance, and communicate progress and outcomes. Through hands-on engagement, leadership development, and formal presentations, ambassadors help translate technology capabilities into meaningful operational impact across the university.

Mude Jayaprakash Naik (Jay), Artificial Intelligence and Business Analytics

I bring more than seven years of experience as a data analyst across manufacturing, healthcare, and human resources, where I’ve learned that data is powerful only when it drives meaningful decisions. As a tech enthusiast, I continuously explore and experiment with new tools, guided by a simple principle: “Unlearn, learn, and relearn.” I joined the Microsoft Student Ambassador program because I believe the best way to learn is to teach, and that growth multiplies when knowledge is shared.

Nhi Nguyen, Applied Mathematics and Econometrics

Hi everyone, I'm Nhi Nguyen, a senior at USF double majoring in Applied Mathematics and Econometrics. I was introduced to Microsoft tools at a young age and didn't realize how valuable that experience was until I started working and volunteering with students from different backgrounds. I was surprised that not many people were familiar with these tools, so I often stepped into a tech lead role, helping peers navigate everything from basic Excel functions to PowerPoint animations. I joined the Microsoft Student Ambassador program thinking I already knew a lot, only to discover how much Microsoft 365 has grown and how much more there is to learn, which honestly makes it even more exciting. I'm eager to deepen my expertise and help students and departments across USF get more out of the tools they already have free access to.

Hi, I’m Kaushik Selvakumar, a Computer Engineering student in the Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing at USF. I’m passionate about cloud architecture, networking, cybersecurity, and emerging AI systems. I joined the Microsoft Student Ambassador program to challenge myself beyond the classroom, grow as a technical leader, and collaborate on projects that bridge industry and academia. I’m particularly interested in scalable cloud infrastructure and agentic AI, and how intelligent systems can be designed to operate reliably in real-world production environments.
