SUBSTANTIVE CHANGE DOCUMENTS
The Documentation for the Substantive Change Committee documents the consolidated USF’s compliance with specific SACSCOC Principles of Accreditation. All SACSCOC accredited institutions that complete mergers or consolidations must document compliance with these specific SACSCOC Principles in a detailed self-study that is shared with the SACSCOC Substantive Change Committee charged with conducting the required post-consolidation site visit. USF’s Documentation for the Substantive Change Committee was submitted to the SACSCOC Committee members on December 11, 2020. The Committee will review this Documentation and ask questions about it during the virtual site visit on January 26-28, 2021. All members of the USF community should be familiar with what is in the Documentation for the Substantive Change Committee, in case the Committee asks them questions about it.
The SACSCOC Substantive Change Prospectus proposed to consolidate, under a single SACSCOC accreditation, the three separately accredited institutions that comprised what was previously known as the University of South Florida System: the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL, the University of South Florida St. Petersburg in St. Petersburg, FL and the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee in Sarasota, FL. The Substantive Change Prospectus was approved by SACSCOC on June 12, 2020 and on July 1, 2020, the previously separate institutions began operating as a single institution with one SACSCOC accreditation.
