Connect

Peer Coaching

Peer coaching is open to all current USF students and exists to help connect students to the resources they need on campus. Peer coaching can assist with issues in financial aid, getting involved on campus, managing relationships and homesickness, managing mental health, academic issues, campus employment and leadership opportunities, and more.

What is Peer Coaching?

Peer Coaching is a free service provided by New Student Connections Peer Advisor Leaders (PALs). Students looking for help with their transition to college can meet one-on-one with a PAL to discuss any challenges they may be having, as well as the resources and solutions available to the student.

When Do I Need Peer Coaching?

Any student who wants to improve their USF experience can benefit from Peer Coaching! If you are having trouble with managing your finances, getting connected to campus resources, getting involved with the right student organizations for you, succeeding in your classes, finding an on-campus job or anything at all related to your time at USF, Peer Coaching can lead you to the right resources for success.

What Can I Expect From Coaching?

After signing up for Peer Coaching, a PAL will contact you by phone call, email or text message to set up a time to meet for a Peer Coaching session. Sessions are typically held on campus. During your session, the PAL will offer to sit down with you and ask you about what's been going on during your time at USF. You may meet with your peer coach more than once.

How Do I Sign Up for Coaching?

Signing up is easy! Fill out a Peer Coaching request form on BullSync or stop by MSC 3200 to make a Peer Coaching request in person.
