What To Bring
The residence hall provides a bed and dresser, desk and chair, draperies, local cable service, local phone service, and laundry facilities. If you do not have a computer, Student Support Services has a computer lab with free printing for student use. Even if you have a computer, you may opt to use the lab during the short seven week summer session to complete or print assignments.
You will need to bring pillows, pillowcases, bed linens (long twin flat sheets), a blanket or comforter, towels, washcloths, laundry detergent, shower caddy, shower shoes, bathrobe, soap and soap container, a study lamp, alarm clock, clothes hangers, an umbrella, iron, flashlight, telephone, cell phone, and a private health insurance card (if insured).
It is not required, but you may bring a car, bicycle, television, refrigerator (max. 4.5 cubic feet), microwave (max. 1000 watts), stereo, power strip, computer, wall poster(s), and stuffed animals. Toaster, toaster oven or George Foreman grills are allowed in apartment-style residence halls only.
Drugs and Alcohol in Resident Housing
Florida State Law prohibits purchase, use, or possession of alcoholic beverages by any person under the age of 21 years. The possession and consumption of alcohol is a privilege provided to those of legal age living within on-campus housing with certain restrictions. These restrictions are designed to ensure the safety and well-being of all students. Any behavior deemed disruptive that interferes with the rights of students due to alcohol consumption will lead to disciplinary action. On January 4, 2016, the USF Tampa Campus became entirely tobacco and smoke free. Smoking of tobacco products are not permitted in any on-campus resident hall (including student rooms). Further information may be obtained directly from the USF Office of Housing and Residential Education.
Remember! You will only be here for seven weeks. Do not bring more items than you
