Following the direction of the university, our offerings/services are available remotely. Even though most of our staff and student leaders are working remotely, we are still available via multiple methods to answer your questions and provide support. Please do not hesitate to reach out.

Connect with a Peer Advisor Leader (PAL): Peer Coaching Form
Compass is your home on campus to help you transition into the USF St. Petersburg Campus. We are here to help you get connected with people, programs and campus services that will enrich your time as a Bull and ease your mind about starting your first year. If you feel unsure about tackling your classes or making friends, we can help.
- Join us on our Instagram or Facebook pages to stay up to date on services, including upcoming events.
- As a new student at the USF St. Petersburg campus, you will have a Peer Coach, which is an experienced and engaged student leader. Your Peer Coach will serve as a guide during your first year on campus. They can help you get involved with campus and community groups, show you the best study spots and answer any questions you have – or just be there if you need to talk. You’ll hear more about Peer Coaches during Orientation.

Various virtual events and programs have been developed to help our incoming students establish connections to USF and their new USF peers. All events can be found by downloading the USF Student and Family Guide or by visiting our engagement website. Events and experiences are continuously being added, so please check these sources weekly.
COMPASS continues to host traditional virtual events throughout the semester designed to help you meet new people and get connected with our community. We are here to help you chart your path to success. Check out all the events we are hosting on PeteSync, Instagram and the COMPASS Website.
The Office of Student Engagement (OSE) will be offering a variety of virtual engagement experiences for incoming students to establish connections with their peers and other members of the USF community. More information will be available at BullSync @ USFSM.
As a new student at USF Sarasota – Manatee campus, you will have a Peer Coach, whom is an experienced and engaged student leader. Your Peer Coach will serve as your guide throughout your Orientation experience, as well as your first year on campus. They can help you get involved with campus and community groups, share study tips and answer any questions you may have. Our Peer Coaches are just an email, call, or text away and are ready to support you!

One of the best resources to help you transition to college is your Peer Coach! Peer Coaches are experienced USF St. Petersburg campus students who serve on the staff of the Compass Student Experience Office Peer Coaches provide guidance for students to succeed at USF St. Petersburg campus through one-on-one coaching and the Network.
