Journals edited by Department faculty

Many Anthropology faculty serve in key roles on national and international editorial boards, including several who edit or co-edit prominent journals:

David Himmelgreen: Associate Editor, Ecology of Food and Nutrition, which publishes articles on all aspects of food and nutrition.

David Himmelgreen and Nancy Romero-Daza: Joint editors, Human Organization, the flagship journal of the Society for Applied Anthropology (SFAA).

Antoinette T. Jackson: Editor, Present Pasts, which publishes global and cross-cultural perspectives in the fields of Cultural Heritage Studies, Public Archaeology and Museum Studies.

Robert Tykot: Associate Editor, Archaeological and Anthropological Sciences, which provides a forum to encourage the continued integration of scientific methodologies in archaeological research.

Robert Tykot: Editor-in-Chief, Science and Technology of Archaeological Research (STAR), which publishes papers utilizing any of the array of scientific and computational techniques available to archaeologists.

Kathryn Weedman Arthur: Co-Editor, Archaeologies: Journal of the World Archaeological Congress, which offers a venue for debates and topical issues, through peer-reviewed articles, reports and reviews. It emphasizes contributions that seek to recenter (or decenter) archaeology, and that challenge local and global power geometries.

Kevin A. Yelvington: Associate Editor, American Ethnologist, the journal of the American Ethnological Society (AES) and a leading journal in socio-cultural anthropological theory. The AES, established in 1842, is a section of the American Anthropological Association.

Rebecca Zarger: Co-Editor in Chief, Journal of Ecological Anthropology, a forum for innovative exploration of the interface between humans and their sociocultural and biophysical environments.
