Bianca Siegenthaler (B.A. University of South Florida) is a second year M.A. student at the University of South Florida in the Department of Communication. Her research lies in the intersection of health and organizational communication, specifically utilizing qualitative and interpretive methods to critically examine health systems, medical inequities, patient-provider interactions, and her own illness narratives. In her most recent project, she employs a culture-centered approach to engage with the unique intersectional perspective of female patients living undiagnosed and chronically ill. She seeks to speak with and listen to how this population communicates their lived experiences navigating the western medical system.
