BIOGRAPHY

Bianca Siegenthaler (M.A. University of South Florida) is a PhD Candidate in Communication at the University of South Florida and a Research Trainee at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. Her work centers on qualitative research and teaching in health communication and medical education. She studies how patient-clinician communication and interprofessional collaboration shape patient safety, care quality, and healthcare teaming. Through her research, she identifies barriers to effective communication and explores ways medical education can address them to strengthen healthcare delivery. By bridging health communication and medicine, her goal is to develop translational strategies that enhance communication training for healthcare professionals, ultimately improving patient care, team collaboration, and the experiences of all medical stakeholders.
