BIOGRAPHY
Md Mansur Hossen is currently pursuing MA in Communication in the Department of Communication
at the University of South Florida. He has been serving in Bangladesh Civil Service
( Information ) since 2021. While serving as Public Relation Officer (PRO) at the
Ministry of Public Administration in Bangladesh, he realized the importance of communication
at the policy level. He is passionate about learning how masculinity norms, cultural
taboos and power hierarchies shape interpersonal and organizational communication
around health. He is particularly concerned with how these barriers affect sensitive
yet essential topics like reproductive health and cancer screening. Ultimately, he
seeks to identify structural, cultural and institutional constrains to develop evidence
-based communication strategies that can strengthen health policy and practice in
Bangladesh.
His research engagement has resulted in seven international conference presentations
in China, Malaysia, and Bangladesh, and eight peer-reviewed journal publications on
governance, development, and gender in reputable outlets, including Springer and the
South Asian Journal of Public Governance.
