Leah Perez

B.A. student (Geography)
I am a junior undergraduate student majoring in Geography with a concentration in
Geographic Information Science. My research interests include land use and land cover
change, urban growth and planning, and spatial data visualization and modeling. I
currently apply GIS and photointerpretation skills in my coursework and projects,
and
I am working to expand my technical expertise in coding and remote sensing. Looking
forward, I hope to branch into geospatial analysis to support spatially informed decision-making,
with the goal of contributing to sustainable and data-driven environmental management.
Marin hay
B.A. student (Environmental Science and Policy)

I am a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Environmental Science and Policy
with a concentration in Environmental Science. My academic interests center on sustainability,
environmental management, and climate resilience. I am particularly interested in
urbanization impacts, wetland delineation, and the conservation of natural systems,
and in applying scientific and analytical approaches to ecohydrology research. I plan
to pursue a graduate degree to further develop my expertise in environmental research
and policy, while continuing to strengthen my GIS and spatial analysis skills. I also
hope to expand my experience in field-based research.
