Ancient Studies Center

The Ancient Studies Center was established in 2008 to provide enrichment opportunities for students of history and related disciplines engaged in the study of the ancient Mediterranean world. The ASC aims to encourage the study of ancient Mediterranean history, Classical languages and literature, Greek / Roman / Mediterranean archaeology, and other related fields. Humanities Institute

The Humanities Institute at the University of South Florida (USF) is an interdisciplinary research center that aims to address fundamental and longstanding questions about the human condition through the examination of the complex dynamic between race, gender, socioeconomic status, religion, ethnicity, sexual identity, age, and other factors. The Humanities Institute supports and encourages collaboration, engaged scholarship, and intellectual conversation among scholars at USF and in the community. More information about the Humanities Institute can be found here.

Institute for Digital Exploration

The Institute for Digital Exploration (IDEx) at the University of South Florida helps us to examine the world in new ways, to preserve our cultural heritage for future generations, and ask new questions in our quest for new knowledge. IDEx accomplishes this through a range of new digital tools and approaches and a growing skillset that it cultivates in faculty and students. Institute on Russia

The mission of the USF Institute on Russia is to advance knowledge and understanding of Russia in a global and historical context. The Institute’s current focus is broad, and includes politics and history, business and trade, science and medicine, as well as culture, sports and the arts. An improved understanding of Russia is critical for our democracy and for global security.
