Major Grant Awarded to USF Doctoral Alumnus
USF Doctoral Alumnus Anthony Fernandez (Ph.D. 2016) an Assistant Professor of Applied Philosophy at the University of Southern Denmark has been awarded a large grant ($910,000) from the Independent Research Fund of Denmark to lead an interdisciplinary project titled “Understanding Experiences of Mood Disturbances in Depression.” The project aims to develop a more precise taxonomy of mood disturbances experienced by people with depression, disambiguating poorly defined concepts such as “depressed mood” by combining philosophy and qualitative research methods.
