Eric Winsberg named British Academy Global Professor
Along with seven other world-renowned scholars, USF Professor of Philosophy Eric Winsberg has named to the British Academy's 2022 Global Professorship. Prof. Winsberg will be spending 2023-2026 at the University of Cambridge on his project, "Complex Modelling and Political Decision Making: Addressing Technical and Moral Problems,” continuing his recent efforts to bring the tools of the Philosophy of Science to bear on problems in ethics and policy.
Tenure-Track Faculty Search
We are pleased to announce an opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Ancient or Medieval Philosophy, with duties commencing August 7, 2023. On-campus interviews of finalists will take place in January, 2023.
Absent Friends
2020 was a difficult year for the USF Philosophy Community, as it has for so many communities worldwide. We mourn the loss of Professor Roy Weatherford (1943-2020), Professor Charles Guignon (1944-2020), and Professor Martin Schönfeld (1963-2020).
