The DBT skills group focuses on teaching skills to help individuals cope with stress while working to reduce behaviors that are harmful to the self or others. All individuals in the DBT group are required to meet weekly with an individual therapist (either at the PSC or at another facility). The group meets weekly on Wednesday evenings for 2.5 hours and each group session costs $15 (this does not include cost of weekly individual therapy sessions).

The DBT skills group focuses on teaching the following skills:

  • Core mindfulness skills
  • Interpersonal effectiveness
  • Emotion regulation
  • Distress tolerance
