What We Do

The USF Office of Pre-Professional Advising provides support and resources to assist ALL USF students, regardless of major, to become competitive applicants for health professional and law schools.

As a pre-professional student, you should:

  • Attend Pre-Health or Pre-Law Group Advising to learn about the competitiveness of pre-professional programs and to start meeting with a certifed advisor.
  • Meet with a certified pre-health or pre-law advisor regularly during your time at USF to work together on your career plan.​
  • Attend workshops we offer, and information sessions we provide, to learn more about your career and building a competitive portfolio.
  • Schedule an application or personal statement review appointment before you apply!

How do I meet with a pre-health professions or pre-law advisor?

Whether you are a pre-health or pre-law student, join us for the required Group Advising session before meeting one-on-one with an advisor. 

We will introduce you to the competitive requirements and general information  on health professions.

Steps to meet with a pre-professional advisor:

  1. Attend a Group Advising session
    • Visit our Event Calendar for the next session
    • Pre-Health Group Advising is offered every 2 weeks (including summer!)
  2. Complete Reflection
    • Link provided in the Group Advising session
  3. Email for scheduling instructions
