The City of St. Petersburg in partnership with The Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum celebrated Juneteenth 2020 with the unveiling of St. Petersburg’s Black Lives Matter mural, created and painted by 16 local artists.

Manhattan Casino
Built in 1925 Manhattan Casino within the Deuces neighborhood, this historic building has served as a place for cultural and social entertainment for the African American Community. Manhattan Casino closed its does in 1968 but has been reopened as part of a larger revival initiative for the Deuces historic neighborhood.
