Celebrate 40 Years of the Institute on Black Life

Invest in the Next Generation of Scholarship, Leadership, and Community Impact

For four decades, the Institute on Black Life has advanced research, education, and community engagement that elevates Black experiences and creates meaningful change. Your support helps shape the next 40 years.

Why Give to the Institute on Black Life?

For 40 years, the Institute on Black Life (IBL) has served as a center for research, education, and community engagement that explores the rich histories, cultures, and lived experiences of Black people in the United States, Africa, and across the African Diaspora. Open to the entire USF community, the Institute provides a welcoming space where scholarship, dialogue, and collaboration inspire new ideas and meaningful change.

Your support helps sustain this important work by expanding opportunities for students, advancing innovative faculty research, and strengthening partnerships with communities both locally and globally. Gifts to the IBL make it possible to foster interdisciplinary scholarship, support mentorship and experiential learning opportunities, and create programs that deepen understanding of African and African diasporic history and culture.

Every contribution helps the Institute continue its mission to cultivate intellectual community, promote student success, and address complex social, economic, environmental, and cultural challenges through research, education, and engagement.

By giving to the Institute on Black Life, you are investing in the next generation of scholars, leaders, and changemakers while ensuring that the Institute's legacy of impact continues for years to come.
