Bio-FAIRCH

About Us

A New Vision for Children’s Nutrition and Health

Bio-FAIRCH is an interdisciplinary research center at the University of South Florida that integrates artificial intelligence, robotics, sustainable agriculture, neurodevelopmental nutrition, and food innovation to address one of society’s most pressing challenges: ensuring all children grow up healthy and nourished.

We are researchers, educators, technologists, dietitians, and community leaders united around a bold mission:

To revolutionize the food system through biological and technological innovations that promote food access, brain health, and sustainable development for children and families—especially in underserved communities.

Bio-FAIRCH was established with the support of the Interdisciplinary Center Preparation Grants (ICPGs) program at USF, which awarded $300,000 in seed funding to launch the center’s research and practice initiatives. This foundational investment enables cross-college collaboration and real-world implementation of AI- and robotics-driven solutions that promote children's nutrition and health equity.
