Research Interests:

Assessment and treatment of severe problem behavior; functional analysis methodology and safety; and diversity, equity, and inclusion in behavior analytic research and practice.


Brinea M. Charles , BCBA, is a Post Doctoral Instructional Scholar for the Applied Behavior Analysis program in the Department of Child & Family Studies at USF. She is attaining her Ph.D in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Munroe-Meyer Institute and master's degree from Rutgers, The State University.
 
Prior to coming to USF, Brinea was a clinical supervisor (BCBA) in the Severe Behavior Department at Munroe-Meyer Institute where she provided assessment and treatment for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who displayed aggression, disruption, and self-injurious behaviors.
 
Her research interests include assessment and treatment of severe problem behavior, functional analysis methodology and safety, and diversity, equity, and inclusion in behavior analytic research and practice.
