Cassandra Thomas is a Social & Behavioral Researcher for Florida's Center for Child Welfare (The Center) within the Department of Child & Family Studies at the University of South Florida. She graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor’s in Social Work (BSW). She has more than 20 years of child welfare experience working in private and public social services agencies. She is currently responsible for research and information gathering and development of content for the The Center’s online library as well as participate in the programmatic design and information sharing. Prior experience includes case management, supervision, program operations and quality assurance/improvement. She is also a certified child welfare supervisor, DCF quality assurance reviewer, critical incident rapid response team (CIRRT) reviewer, and child welfare trainer.
