Formby, Craig, Ph.D.
Research Professor
Dr. Craig Formby is a Research Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences
& Disorders. Dr. Formby is a clinical audiologist who has extensive experience in
the areas of auditory percpeption, tinnitus, hyperacusis, and balance disorders. He
has held faculty appointments at the University of Florida, Johns Hopkins University,
the Univeristy of Maryland. He currently holds the position of Distinguished Graduate
Research Professor Emeritus at the University of Alabama and as Research Professor
at USF and the Universitiy of Maryland Baltimore County. Dr. Formby is Principal Investigator
on an NIH NIDCD R21 award in collaboration with scientists at USF and that work is
carried out in the Auditory & Speech Sciences Laboratory (ASSL) at USF. Dr. Formby
is actively engaged in the mentorship of CSD graduate students at USF.
