Great question! Our program is offered on an open enrollment basis, with no application required. You may take individual courses or successfully complete all 10 courses to earn a certificate in Human Resource Management. Simply review our currently scheduled sessions, follow the link, register online and begin attending!
- I have a schedule conflict and cannot attend some of the sessions listed. When can
I start the program?
We have currently scheduled sessions listed on our website and if one or more sessions do not work well with your schedule, no problem as these courses are typically offered 2-3 times in a calendar year and you have 2 years to complete the program. Simply keep checking our website for additional session offerings. And don't forget, you may take these courses in any order!
- I do not have any HR experience, will I be able to successfully complete the program?
Whether you are seeking to transition into HR, or you are an existing HR professional and are seeking to update your skills or receive professional training and add another credential to your resume this program is ideal for you. This course is also a great fit for already SHRM certified professionals seeking to earn re-certification credit or managers with HR responsibilities.
- Do I have to test at the end of each or all courses to earn the HR Management Certificate?
There is no test, courses are satisfactorily completed by meeting the attendance requirements (must attend all sessions).
- What does a typical class schedule look like?
Taking into consideration our working professionals, typically the courses are offered week nights (for example one course may meet 4 consecutive Mondays from 6:30pm - 9:30pm) and there is currently one course offered on Saturday (meets 2 consecutive Saturdays). Each course is a total of 12 hours. For additional information please review our currently scheduled sessions listed on this site.

SHRM Essentials of Human Resources, acquire a comprehensive overview of human resource roles and responsibilities in this 2-day course and gain knowledge and skills that can be used immediately.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) Certification Preparation course, acquire the knowledge needed to sit for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam from an approved provider of SHRM.
21st Century Leadership-Strengthen your Management Skills with a Certificate in Organization Development and Leadership, this is a program that offers skills needed to become a great leader. Choose from courses designed to help you strengthen all facets of your management abilities and lead change to achieve positive results within your team and throughout your entire organization.
Attend any of the 3 programs mentioned above and earn SHRM re-certification credits.
You may enroll in individual courses or complete the entire certificate sequence to earn a resume-enhancing credential. Convenient courses are offered nights, weekends and weekdays to accommodate working professionals. These courses are on an open enrollment basis with no application required! You may register for these courses in any order.

What You Will Learn
To earn the USF Human Resources Management certificate, students complete ten courses. To successfully complete the program, participants must meet the attendance requirement. Students have up to two years to complete the required courses.

What You Will Earn
Upon successfully completing this program, you will receive a certificate from the USF Office of Corporate Training and Professional Education.
For each course you will earn continuing education contact hours/CEUs, recertification credit and you will receive a letter of completion, which may apply for professional development credit. Each course listed above is valid for 12 PDCs for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM.
