Cancellation Policy

Cancellation notification must be in writing (fax or email are acceptable) and received (not postmarked) 10 business days prior to the start date of the course. A cancellation fee equal to 25% will be assessed. If the notice of cancellation is received 10 or more business days prior to the course start date, you may choose to send a substitute student or transfer to another course without penalty. If you choose to transfer to another course, you must take the course within six months of the original course date. After six months, the funds will be forfeited.

If you must cancel your registration less than 10 business days prior to the course start date, you may choose to substitute a person. However, no transfers or refunds are available during this time period.

If you register for a course during the 10-day window prior to the start date and you must cancel your registration, you may choose to substitute a person. No transfer or refunds are available during this time period.

OLLI

Refund Policy

If you must withdraw from an OLLI-USF course more than five days prior to the course start date, you will receive a full refund of the registration fee, or you may apply the refund amount to another course within the same term and pay any difference in fees. If you withdraw one to five days prior to the course start date, you will be charged an administrative fee of up to $15. No refunds are issued after the course start date. When registering for OLLI courses, you agree to our policies for withdrawals, refunds, transfers and stated fees.

Corporate Training and Professional Education 

Course Fees

Register early to ensure your place in class. Fees are posted for each course. Some programs have special registration procedures and requirements. These are posted on the program/course web page. 

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, American Express, and company-approved purchase orders payable to USF Corporate Training and Professional Education. Personal checks, money orders, and cash are not accepted per university policy.

Attendance
To complete our open enrollment noncredit courses satisfactorily, you must attend 80 percent of multiple class meetings. One-day classes require full-day attendance. Some courses/programs may have additional completion requirements. Check the program description for details.

Course Withdrawals/Transfers/Refunds

USF reserves the right to cancel any noncredit course, in which case registration fees are fully refunded. If it becomes necessary for USF to cancel, postpone or combine courses, or change a course location, you will be notified by email or phone. It is important that we have your current contact information. If a course is cancelled, you may transfer to another course or receive a full refund. If a registration is received after the enrollment limit has been reached, a full refund will be issued.

Withdrawals, Transfers or Refunds from Continuing Education courses must be in writing, prior to the course start time.  Fees are associated with withdrawals/transfers/refunds.

Submit requests via email to CEwithdrawal@usf.edu. No Withdrawals, Transfers or Refunds will be issued after course start date.  

Allow 5-7 working days for credit card refunds and 6-8 weeks for check refunds.

Making Changes to Your Customer Profile

Once you have established your login ID and password by filling out the required contact information, your customer profile is saved as "My Profile" and you can update your profile as needed whenever you login. Please keep your profile current. In "My Profile" you can make changes to your contact information.

If you need to change your login email address, call 813-974-5550, option 1 to update your record.

Viewing Your Course Schedule

After registering for a USF course, details about the upcoming courses in which you have enrolled are available online. Once you log in, click on "Order History" on the left side of the screen. "Order History" is not an official confirmation of your enrollment. Your official confirmation will be emailed. 

If there is a discrepancy on this schedule, or if you have not received your written confirmation within 7-10 days of registering, call 813-974-5550, option 1, to verify your enrollment.

Waitlist for Courses

When a course is full, you may be added to the waitlist for that specific course and date and notified if space becomes available. To be added to the waitlist online, click "Add to Cart" and complete all required information. Your credit card will not be charged at this time. If space becomes available for this specific course and date, our registration staff will contact you to confirm registration and authorize payment.

Books

Textbook purchase is required for some courses. Information on textbook/course materials is noted in the online course description and also on your registration confirmation. 

Continuing Education Units/Letters of Completion

Upon successful completion of a course, you may receive 0.1 CEU per hour of instruction, and are eligible for a letter of course completion.

The Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is a standard unit to recognize noncredit activities at an institution of higher learning. To earn CEUs you must attend at least 80 percent of multiple class meetings and successfully complete course requirements. One-day classes require full-day attendance.

Upon completing the course requirements for professional certificate programs, you may request the certificate via email to CE-Inquiries@usf.edu. Please see each individual certificate program for specific requirements.

Course Locations

All courses are held at USF Tampa Campus unless noted. If the location noted on your confirmation/registration receipt is "TBA," you will be notified as soon as the location is assigned. You may check your course location on our website until the day before your class starts by clicking the My Schedule link from your online profile. On your course start date, you may call 813-974-5550, option 1.

Disabilities

If you have a documented disability and require reasonable accommodation, you must advise the staff at the time of registration (at least ten working days in advance of the event) at 813-974-5550, option 1, or write to USF Continuing Education, University of South Florida, 4202 E. Fowler Ave., LIB608, Tampa, FL 33620-6758. Persons with hearing or speech impairments should contact the ADA coordinator by using the Florida Dual Party Relay System at 800-955-8770 (voice) or 800-955-8771 (TDD).

Emergency Closings

If USF is closed due to severe weather, national disaster, or other circumstances, continuing education courses are also postponed. You will be notified by your email address on file. It is important that you keep your contact information updated. Emergency closing information can be accessed at 800-992-4231 or tune in to your local radio or TV station for information on USF emergency closures.

Privacy Policy (The Information We Collect)

For each visitor to our web page, our web server automatically recognizes information regarding the IP address and domain. We collect the domain name of visitors to our web pages, the email addresses of those who communicate with us via email, and aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit to statistically analyze site usage and to improve our content and layout. These uses allow us to improve our site to meet our users' needs.

As a training provider, we are required to collect personal information on our students and instructors for legal and identification purposes. Any identifiable information collected shall only be used internally by USF Continuing Education. We will not give, sell, rent, or loan such information to any third party, unless approved or requested by you, or unless we are legally required to do so.

Our site may contain links to other sites; however, USF Continuing Education is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such web sites. Since we cannot guarantee the same level of privacy and security of these sites, we recommend that you read their privacy policies, which may differ from ours. If our information practices change at some time in the future, we will post policy changes to our web site to notify you of the changes.

Transcript/Record Request

To request a record of all the USF Corporate Training and Professional Education courses you have enrolled in, completed, withdrawn or transferred from fill out a record request form. There is a fee for this service.

Security and Access Requirements

To meet safety and access requirements at our facilities, you are required to provide your registration confirmation as your student identification. You may be asked to provide this identification for entry into our buildings and classrooms.

USF Staff Registrations

USF staff registrations to be paid by USF departments must be accompanied by your immediate supervisor's signature, the appropriate chartfield and the accountable officer's signature. The USF PCard may not be used for staff registrations. For more details see USF staff registration instructions and form.
