Master of Education
Admission into the Master of Education in Educational Leadership program occurs in the Fall and Spring of each year.
Priority Application Deadline
Fall: June 1
Spring: October 15
Note: All admissions materials including the USF graduate admissions application, student transcripts and supporting documentation must be received by July 20, 2018 to be considered for the Fall 2018 semester.
Admission is based on a comprehensive evaluation of demonstrated leadership and academic potential to complete all degree requirements successfully. Success in the M.Ed program requires a commitment to utilizing rigorous inquiry, developing strong analytical and writing skills, and demonstrating a commitment to purposeful and inclusive leadership practices that accelerate learning for all students.
Preferred applicants must:
- Have a minimum two years of post-bachelor’s teaching experience by the application deadline of the semester before desired enrollment.
- Possess a Florida Professional Educator’s Certificate.
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA in the last half of the bachelor's degree earned at a regionally accredited institution. Applicants with a GPA below 3.0 may be asked to provide recent (less than 5 years old) GRE scores.
