Congratulations to Dave Armitage on his retirement after 15 years of service

The Department congratulates Dave Armitage on his retirement from USF after 15 years of service. Dave started his USF career at USF-Lakeland as an Assistant Professor in 2002 in the then-Department of Information Technology. In 2006, he was appointed Interim Chair of the Department and in 2009, appointed Division Director. Under Dave's stewardship, the BSIT program moved to an online delivery mode and grew to more than 300 students by 2012. An online graduate program, the MSIT, was also introduced in 2011. In 2012, Dave was promoted to Associate Professor. The IT programs moved to USF Tampa in the same year, and merged with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in Fall 2014.
