Shayna

Shayna is a second year graduate student who is getting her master's in health administration. Shayna is the Health Promotion Assistant here at SWELL, and her favorite topics are sexual health and CLASP/suicide prevention. She also does work at the Ybor Youth Clinic focusing on sexual health. Shayna’s favorite events are Cookies, Condoms, and Consent, and Paws and Relax. Her favorite part of working at SWELL is being able to see the impact made on students at USF and connecting with the USF community. A piece of advice from Shayna is to always let your personality shine, you belong here!

Maylin

Maylin is a senior biological health sciences major with a minor in women, gender, and sexuality studies. Maylin is one of the lead peer health educators here at SWELL, and her favorite topics include sexual health and sleep. Maylin’s favorite events include De-stress for Success, Paws & Relax, and sexual health wagons. Her favorite part of being a peer health educator is getting to know the students and educating them on the different health topics. Maylin is also one of the co-executive directors for the USF BRIDGE Public Health clinic. A quote Maylin loves by Han Kang goes, “You are healthy and lush… and that is enough. Do whatever you would like to do” (Han Kang, 2026).

Kymora

Kymora is a biology major with a concentration in medical biology and is minoring in infection control and general public health. She has worked as a HEAT peer for a year, and her favorite topics include stress and anxiety management & alcohol and other drugs. Kymora’s favorite events are Paws and Relax and Destress for Success. Her favorite part about working for SWELL is learning more about holistic wellness and making new connections with other students at events. After graduation she plans to pursue a career in infectious disease pharmacy and work in rural or global healthcare.

Juliana

 Juliana is a senior standing student double majoring in public health and world languages and cultures with a concentration in French & francophone studies. After graduation, she plans to pursue an MPH in health promotion and behavior and hopes to work in the nonprofit sector. Juliana’s favorite health topics are alcohol and other drugs, mental health, and nutrition. Juliana’s favorite events are Paws and Relax and Destress for Success. Her favorite part of being a SWELL peer educator is learning about holistic wellness practices and getting to share that information with other students.

Chloe

Chloe is a second year undergraduate who is double majoring in psychology and child behavioral healthcare. She also is a part of the USF women’s flag football team as their social media manager. This is her first year with HEAT and her favorite topics include sexual health, stress management, and alcohol safety. After she graduates, she aspires to become a researcher in child psychology and strives to study holistic approaches in development. She is most excited to learn more about health related topics and getting to socialize with her peers!

Felix

 Felix is a sophomore who's majoring in behavioral healthcare with a concentration in behavioral health across the lifespan. After graduation, he plans to attain his master's and pursue a career as a mental health therapist. Felix's favorite topics are mental health, suicide prevention and awareness, and physical activity. His favorite events are Paws and Relax, and Destress for Success. One of his favorite parts of being a peer health educator is having the ability to inform fellow students while still connecting with them on their level. Arshita

Arshita is fourth year student majoring in Biomedical Sciences and Public Health. She is also a member of the USF Honors College. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in medicine. Her favorite topics are stress management, sexual health, and suicide prevention. Her favorite events are Paws and Relax and Destress for Success. Communicating with other students and planning for events is her favorite part of being a peer health educator. She loves learning new health information and working with others at HEAT.

Luci

Luci is a second-year undergraduate majoring in Biomedical Sciences. She aims to pursue a career in public health and eventually go to medical school. Luci is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In her free time, she likes to paint, craft, and play piano. This is her first year as part of HEAT. She’s very excited to be a part of the team. One of her favorite things about working with HEAT is the peer-to-peer education. She loves educating students on important health topics such as sexual education and alcohol safety. Outside of USF, she also started her own nonprofit, Tampa Bay Connect, where she provides resources and healthcare information to low-income areas. She’s dedicated to helping people access adequate healthcare and stay safe and healthy.
