Going Home
Going Home for the semester or Summer is always a nice break away from university-life to recharge. For our students temporarily leaving to go home, take note of some considerations you may need to think about before you have fun.
Checklist
1. Immigration
- Ensure you are up-to-date with any relevant information from the Office of International Services (OIS) concerning travel or documentation.
2. Academics
- Check your USF email periodically for any important updates or information fromt the university.
- Update passwords or authenticator before you leave.
- Speak with an academic advisor about plans for future semesters.
- Ensure you have signed up for upcoming semester courses.
3. Housing
Consider where you are going to take home with you and what you can either store or give away.
- Update any mailing information from banks, cell phone providers, etc. to a new address if necessary.
- Lock and secure your housing accomodation before you leave.
4. Personal
- Confirm flight and travel arrangement to and from the airport.
- Pack important documents in your carry-on.
- Stay in touch with your professors and friends!
