Professional MBA

Tuition / Financial Aid

The total cost of tuition for the Professional MBA is roughly $17,000 for in-state qualifying students and $32,000 for out-of-state qualifying students. Students needing foundation coursework will have additional tuition and fees. Refer to the University Controller's Office website for additional information.

Financial Aid, Scholarships and Corporate Reimbursement

Many PMBA students benefit from corporate tuition assistance policies granted by their employers. Future students are strongly encouraged to identify what programs are available through their employer.

USF financial aid is available in the form of scholarships and loans. PMBA students will be contacted and encouraged to apply for any MBA eligible scholarships. A step-by-step guide for financial aid for graduate students and other information about financial aid can be found on USF's University Scholarships & Financial Aid Services website.

Post 9-11 GI Bill for Veterans

The Post 9-11 GI Bill covers a large amount of the tuition and program fees for the MBA Program. The USF Veterans Service office serves veterans, active duty servicepersons and members of the Selected Reserve, as well as the dependents of veterans eligible for benefits. They offer Guidance regarding educational benefits eligibility and assistance with forms and forwarding of documentation to the VA. Find out more information on their website.

Professional Development Fee

All new MBA students are assessed a $100 non-refundable professional development fee. In addition to securing the student's place in the entering class, the professional development fee is used throughout the program to support the activities of the Graduate Business Association, equipment and supplies for student use, special seminars and events, subscriptions, publications, guest speakers, refreshments, and occasional receptions and meals. The professional development fee is in addition to the $35 Comprehensive New Graduate Student fee assessed by the university.

Teaching/Graduate Assistantships

A limited number of teaching assistantships or graduate assistantships are available in the College of Business and vary by year and campus. Assistantships provide part-time (20 hours per week) employment in various academic departments. Assistantships involve an assortment of duties, which include research, teaching and administration. In addition to a competitive stipend, GAs receive a partial tuition waiver for up to 12 credit hours, and receive a substantial employer contribution towards the USF student health insurance policy.

  • Assistantships are only available to full-time students.
  • Hiring decisions are made by individual departments.
  • Assistantships usually carry some fee waivers as a benefit.

Students interested in TA/GA positions should visit USF's Human Resources website. Decisions are made by the hiring departments directly. Muma College of Business departments that typically hire MBA students for GA positions include: Finance, Information Systems Decision Sciences, Management, Marketing, Graduate Studies, Employer Relations, and Communications & External Relations.
