Patent granted to two Department faculty and CSE graduate students

Professors Jay Ligatti and Dmitry Goldgof along with CSE graduate students Cagri Cetin and Jean-Baptiste Subilis were granted United States Patent entitled "Systems and Methods for Anonymous Authentication using Multiple Devices" (No. 9,380,058, granted on June 28, 2016). The invention enables users to be authenticated, for example to check that they have permission to access protected resources, without personally identifying the users. This patent is part of an on-going research collaboration in security and pattern recognition between USF Department of Computer Science and Engineering faculty.
