Olivia Sewell

Olivia Sewell, B.A.
Graduate Student Clinician

Languages in which I conduct therapy: English

Pronouns: she/her/hers

My approach to therapy: I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminology from the University of Florida. Now I am a proud Bull in the Master of Social Work program at the University of South Florida. I have the pleasure of serving as a graduate student clinician within the USF Counseling Center. I identify as a White, Christian, cisgender woman. My goal is to create a safe space in which students of all backgrounds and identities feel comfortable to share without fearing judgment.

In counseling, I strive to make every client feel as supported and heard as possible, while getting to know them as individuals to best navigate the situation together and find solutions that work for them. My approach to therapy is one that takes a psychosocial perspective to analyze how environmental situations and relationships contribute to an individual’s well-being. Additionally, I take a humanistic approach to encourage my clients to feel empowered to make their own autonomous decisions and boost their self-esteem.

Fun Fact: I am also a dance teacher!
