Scott Glaser was named executive director of the Gasparilla Bowl in August 2019. Glaser also now oversees the St. Pete Clearwater Elite Invitational softball event.

Glaser spent the previous 19 years at the University of South Florida (USF), where he worked in athletics and also for the USF Alumni Association. The former Senior Associate Athletic Director oversaw all USF Athletic and Sun Dome (now Yuengling Center) facilities, operations, and event management.  In 2015, he was elected president of the Florida Facility Managers Association and served a two-year term.

The Chicago native grew up in Brandon (Fla.), where he was a star pitcher for Brandon High School. He went on to play at USF (1995-99) where he still holds the school record for career wins (34). He was drafted by the New York Yankees as a junior in 1997 but returned to USF to earn his degree and then signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Glaser played one year for the Hickory Crawdads in the South Atlantic League before returning to USF for a position on the event management staff.

Glaser and his wife Carla reside in Lithia (Fla.) with their son Trey and daughter Kara.
