About
Educational Objectives
We have Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) for our computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, and information technology undergraduate degree programs. PEOs are broad statements that describe the career and professional accomplishments that the program is preparing graduates to achieve. These objectives describe the expected accomplishments of our graduates during the several years following graduation.
Computer Science
Objective 1: Our graduates will apply their knowledge and skills to succeed in their careers and/or obtain advanced degrees.
Objective 2: Our graduates will behave ethically, accountably and responsibly, consistent with professional standards of conduct; will remain informed through continuing learning, and will be involved as full participants in their profession and society.
Objective 3: Our graduates will creatively solve problems, think critically, communicate effectively, adapt to and utilize emerging technologies with agility and resilience, and successfully function in multi-disciplinary teams.
Objective 4: Our graduates will apply foundational principles, security, and best practices of computing grounded in mathematics and science to successfully complete software-related projects that meet stakeholder objectives and/or productively engage in research.
