Lora Adams, from The Masa Group, addresses conference participants during second day workshop.

This conference offered a public forum that brought together academic experts doing research on contemporary issues related to im/migrant well-being. Presentations discussed research related to various dimensions of well-being with implications for how policies and programs at the local, state, and federal levels can affect im/migrants and their communities. The conference was organized around four panels in which the researchers focused on how border policies, gatekeeping practices, and programs and policies that aim to incorporate im/migrants affect different aspects of im/migrant well-being, including emotional, social, and physical well-being.
