Four CAS graduates named Outstanding Young Alumni

The University of South Florida Alumni Association held its annual Outstanding Young Alumni Awards ceremony on April 20 at the Gibbons Alumni Center at its Tampa campus. 

Four out of the six extraordinary honorees this year are College of Arts & Sciences graduates. These alumni are recognized for their professional accomplishments and their engagement with the university. 

The 2023 CAS alumni recipients are: 

Kristen Corpion

Kristen Corpion
Anthropology and Political Science ’10

Kristen is an award-winning lawyer and the founder and chief legal officer of CORPlaw in Miami. An entrepreneur and university law and business professor, she is dedicated to supporting the success of small businesses, mentoring students, and transforming the legal profession through innovation. ’10, is an award-winning lawyer and the founder and chief legal officer of CORPlaw in Miami. An entrepreneur and university law and business professor, she is dedicated to supporting the success of small businesses, mentoring students, and transforming the legal profession through innovation. 

Candace Davison

Candace Braun Davison
Mass Communications ’10

Candace serves as executive editor of PureWow, one of the country’s most popular lifestyle websites. She oversees the brand's home and food coverage, which ranks 35th nationally for culinary content, and she is the author of three cookbooks, including "Collegiate Cook," which donates 25% of its proceeds to scholarships. 

Catlin Skufca

Catlin Skufca
History ’11

Catlin is the Ohio state director of Best Buddies International, the world’s largest nonprofit organization focused on fostering inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As Best Buddies’ Ohio director since 2018, Skufca has grown volunteer-led programs by 80%.

Jordann Windschauer
Mass Communications ’12

Jordann is the founder and CEO of Base Culture, a next-generation bakery that distributes its best-for-you baked goods to 15,000-plus stores nationwide, including Whole Foods, Kroger, Publix, Albertsons, and Sprouts.
