Internship Description

Community Relations/Communications Intern:

Intern to work closely with appropriate staff in assisting with any events and public programming. Tasks may include:
1. Research, compile and analyze data
2. Prepare timeline, written reports and analysis
3. Work with Board and Leadership Council members and other volunteers
4. Enjoy working with the public and comfortable working independently
5. Event planning and participation
6. Share creative ideas
7. Designing and compiling surveys for all public programming
8. Assist staff during any events at the Museum or other locations
9. Social Media development and monitoring
10. Event/membership/museum promotion

Candidates should have competence in:
1. Word Processing and Outlook
2. Social Media
3. Excel

Additional requirements: Writing/analytical skills plus keen interest in electronic communications. Interns are asked to commit a minimum of 1 full day per week (or 2 half-days) on a fixed schedule for orientation, training, planning and project purposes. We are flexible as to scheduling; interns must be available for some evening and off-site events as schedules/calendars permit.

Fall interns will have an opportunity to work with the Anne Frank Humanitarian Award project.

Spring interns will have an opportunity to work on projects related to Genocide and Human Rights Awareness Month.
