MFA Graduate Vanessa Diaz Exhibits at the Museum of Fine Arts

Artworks by MFA graduate Vanessa Diaz were on display at St. Petersburg's Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition, Beginning at the Cornice, Not the Foundation, featured site-specific installations that pertain to customs and home decor. Diaz utilizes furniture, textiles, and found objects in her sculptures that work to redefine interior space.

"My practice investigates routine interactions of the residential experience to further develop strategies of customizing objects and architecture as a method of claiming space," says Diaz in her artist's statement.
