Music Composition Graduate Student Sohyun Lim Premieres New Work in Brazil

Music composition graduate student Sohyun Lim premieres a new work at the Sao Paulo Contemporary Composers Festival in Brazil on September 29.

The internationally-renowned ensemble Quinteto Pierrot will perform her piece Snail Democracy.

The Quinteto Pierrot was considered in 2010 to be the best contemporary music group in Brazil by the Sao Paulo Association of Art Critics.

About the festival

Composers at the Sao Paulo Contemporary Composers Festival will receive professional performances of their chamber works by internationally renowned and contemporary Brazilian performers. Performances will be broadcast on television and radio throughout 17 different states in Brazil. Additionally, composers will receive professional studio recordings of their pieces.
