Fieldwork Experience

The USF Applied Behavior Analysis Practicum follows the experience guidelines of the Behavior Analysis Certification Board, which requires 1,500 total hours of concentrated supervised fieldwork. Students work an average of 20 hours per week at their fieldwork sites under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Fieldwork placements are required for the ABA M.S. program. 

The USF ABA Program currently partners with approximately 50 agencies in the Tampa Bay area. For more information on MS ABA program fieldwork sites or becoming an approved agency, please contact the Practicum Coordinator, Dr. Paige Talhelm. 

 

USF has partnered with the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE) to expand students’ access to quality training sites for accruing fieldwork experience to attain BACB certification. BHCOE is an international accrediting body that provides agencies meeting specific standards of quality with a certification.
