Nicole Caputi Day, MS, CCC-SLP, is a senior speech-language pathologist at Encompass Health, where she leads a team of Speech-Language Pathologists and chairs the stroke program at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Tampa, FL. She received a BA in Sociology and BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Florida and MS in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of the District of Columbia. Nicole was a research assistant at the Center for Aphasia Research and Rehabilitation at the Cognitive Neuropsychology Lab of Georgetown University. She completed foundational training in Speech-Language Pathology in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Cancer at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Her clinical interests are in the evaluation and treatment of swallowing, language, voice and cognitive communication disorders in adults, as well as leadership, advocacy, and regulations in the profession of Speech-Language Pathology. She has experience working in inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient and private practice settings treating adults and children.
