Sophia Kreismer and Catherine Steinwachs defended their ADP research projects in Fall 2025 concluding a major academic milestone!
Sophia Kreismer received 1st place for her ADP research project on the topic 'Effects of Environment on Speech Recognition with Advanced Noise Reduction'. She was co-mentored by Dr. Erol Ozmeral and will be presenting her research poster at the American Auditory Society Conference in February 2026!
Catherine Steinwachs presented her ADP research project on the topic 'Comparison of sound quality between conventional and independent compression of signals'. She was co-mentored by Dr. Ryan Corey from UIC.
Dr. Rallapalli was awarded the Internal CBCS grant in Fall 2024 to support her ongoing research initiatives on the role of working memory in aided speech-in-noise listening in realistic spatial conditions.
