1. Recruitment

Flyers of our current studies will be shared with the Tampa Bay Area and USF community. If our study applies to you, contact us to begin your journey with LASER LAB.

2. Contact Us

Email the lab any questions about our study, including your name, phone number, and email. One of our research assistants will contact you within 48 hours.

3. Scheduling

A research assistant will contact you to answer any questions you may have. If you decide to proceed with the study, you will be asked screening questions; if you are eligible, the study procedures will be explained to you, and a study session date will be scheduled. You will be sent a Microsoft Teams link if you are doing a virtual session.

4. Arrival

In person:

Arrive to the PSD building lobby at least 10 minutes before your session. A research assistant will meet you in the lobby and lead you to the lab room. DO NOT GO to the lab room alone, as finding it can be confusing. If you need help finding the building, give us a call.

Virtual:

Log in to your device at least 10 minutes before the start and ensure you can access the link.

5. Session

The study session can last between 4- 6 hours. Depending on the study, there may be one or more sessions. A research assistant will review the procedures, obtain consent, and proceed with the session.

6. Payment

If you complete the session in person, you will receive your payment ( physical gift cards) at the end of the session.

If you complete the session virtually, they will be emailed. If you have trouble accessing them, please let us know immediately.
