Curriculum Vitae


Jane Govoni received her MA in Spanish from Boston College and her PhD from the University of South Florida specializing in Second Language Acquisition. Her background includes teaching Spanish at the secondary and college levels and TESOL to pre-service teachers. She is a past recipient of the Florida Irving Wershow Award in foreign language education and the Mary L. Collins Award for excellence in teacher education. She is currently the executive secretary for the Southeastern Regional Association of Teacher Educators (SRATE). In addition, Dr. Govoni is an ESOL-SPA reviewer for CAEP and serves on the TESOL National Standards Professional Council.
